About the role
The Access Control System Coordinator will undertake regular evaluations of access permissions and audit logs, to ensure appropriate levels of access are applied to the university’s defined sensitive and secure areas and implement necessary changes to access profiles to ensure appropriate security levels.
- undertake continuous improvement reviews and refine of policies and procedures;
- provide advice on physical Building Security principles, such as building lockdown, zoned lockdown and building lockout;
- plan, develop and implement new work methods and processes; and
- work collaboratively to create and maintain efficient security measures.

This position reports to the Manager, Property and Environment, and will work as part of the Property and Environment team. You will possess:
- advanced knowledge on access control systems in large, high risk, complex organisations;
- high level of computer proficiency and skills relative to software, hardware, database and related networks;
- strong focus on and extensive working knowledge around crime prevention through environmental design, security, data integrity, privacy and accuracy; and
- ability to make informed independent decisions in a quick and decisive manner using good judgment.
