About the role

Federation TAFE is home to vocational education and training delivered by Federation University Australia and offers a broad range of quality education and training programs, reflecting state and national priorities that address the training needs of individuals and industry.

You will provide comprehensive administrative and executive assistant support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, VET and Chief Executive of Federation TAFE ensuring effective and efficient management of workloads and work in progress.

You will:

  • coordinate and manage diary appointments and emails with minimal direction;
  • meet and greet visitors as the first point of contact to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, VET and Chief Executive TAFE;
  • provide administration and operational support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, VET and Chief Executive TAFE and delegated committees and meetings; and
  • plan, coordinate and communicate events, including but not limited to meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

About you

Reporting to the Manager, Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, VET you will be required to work both independently and in team situations. You will have demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.

You will possess:

  • the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work for yourself and a senior manager;
  • the ability to draft/and or edit complex written correspondence, reports and other documents;
  • the ability to provide administrative and operational support for committees including taking minutes and preparing agendas; and
  • commitment to maintaining confidentiality and dealing with sensitive matters.
