About the role
As a member of the senior team within the Student Experience and Administration Services (SEAS) Directorate, you will provide strategic leadership and take initiative to improve data, analytics, processes and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering quality service and productive collaboration across the University.
You will work closely with other parts of the University and external stakeholders, particularly on improving student retention, higher education participation and the student experience.
You will be the key first contact point for a diverse range of stakeholders, and will work closely with other areas within SEAS, across the university, and also externally.

Reporting to the Dean of Students and Register as a senior member of staff within the SEAS Directorate, the successful appointee will possess demonstratedexperience in project management, data analysis and program evaluation, and knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training/TAFE.
In addition, you will also possess demonstratable significant stakeholder management skills and complex writing and analytical skills. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the HE and VET sectors in Australia, particularly related to student retention and HE participation, in addition to overseeing the delivery of complex tertiary programs and projects, are mandatory criterion for this position.
Your accountabilities will include:
- strategic oversight and leadership for associated projects;
- oversight and leadership, building team capacity to achieve service excellence;
- ovide consultancy on best practice opportunities for our services, structure, policies, processes and systems;
- Oversee and monitor compliance with legal and regulatory standards (e.g. HSEF and ESOS); and
- Provide analytical reports in response to qualitative and quantitative evaluation measures related to continuous improvement of student retention and HEPPP.
