About the role
Provide counselling services for our students and participate in delivery of mental health education programs.

You will:

  • provide evidence-based assessment and short-term psychological interventions;
  • assess for, and manage, emerging, acute, and complex student mental health issues, including student risk;
  • support the development of resources to support the mental health and resilience of students;
  • contribute to local counselling team response to critical incidents including provision of psychological first aid; and
  • contribute to the delivery of mental health education programs.

About you
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or membership with the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) with registration as mental health Social Worker.
  • expertise in the provision of evidence based short term psychological counselling
  • advanced clinical, assessment and intervention skills;
  • advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team; and
  • experience delivering training programs and workshops on wellbeing and mental health topics,
