Use your trade experience as a Plumber to provide quality education outcomes to our diverse student base, based at our SMB Campus in Ballarat, Victoria. You will join a team of trade professionals, committed to enhancing the student experience and taking our next generation on a journey of self-reliance and building life and plumbing skills. Federation TAFE recognises that real life industry experience is the most important aspect when appointing teaching staff, and we know that this experience and your creditability is going to be valued by our students.

We are seeking Plumbers with current industry experience and a passion to teach the next generation of apprentices. This is your opportunity to share your valuable knowledge, skills and experience – with a mixture of workshop, classroom and office duties.

About the role

Deliver and assess quality vocational education and training programs in Plumbing.

You will:

  • plan, prepare, deliver and assess Plumbing focused training programs;
  • develop and deliver innovative learning activities and assessment strategies;
  • focus on the student experience to inspire the next generation;
  • conduct assessments in plumbing programs; and
  • build on industry relationships to enhance our programs and community connections.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education plus a qualification in Plumbing;
  • communication and interpersonal skills;
  • a passion for educating the next generation of Plumbing professionals; and
  • (ideally) ability to effectively utilise online learning platforms and technologies.
