Part-time (0.5), fixed-term appointment until June 2021.
A unique opportunity exists for a passionate researcher to contribute to the implementation of research projects in the School of Health and Life Sciences at the Gippsland Campus.
Working closely with a dedicated research team on funded grants you will draft literature reviews, collect specimens and maintain data and knowledge repositories to support research activities linked to areas including flora and fauna research and management.
Your extensive analytical experience and aptitude to undertake outstanding research in Molecular Ecology will allow you to produce relevant reports and preparing research findings leading to publication of peer-reviewed journal papers and the presentation of research findings in a variety of forums.
You will bring extensive molecular biology experience and an aptitude for establishing and maintaining data-sets. In addition, your experience in preparing and publishing research material for various media platforms including journals and conference presentations will provide great benefit to this role.
The salary is within the Academic Level A6 to A8 range $83,565 to $89,701 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
Appointments will normally be at the base of the salary range.
