Full-time, fixed-term appointment until June 2021.
The School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology offers a range of Bachelor degrees in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Mining), Mathematics, Information Technology and Science (primarily Metallurgy and Geology).
The School is establishing a range of programs in Electrical and Information Engineering, Engineering Project Management, Financial Mathematics, Renewable Energy Electrical Power Systems (New Energy Technologies), Data Science and Industrial Engineering to add to the current suite of Program offerings. These new and contemporary programs are targeted toward meeting the rapidly changing skills need.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to provide leadership in the development and delivery of Data Science/Data Analytics and related programs and courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. You will also make an outstanding contribution to the School’s research program through publications, grant applications, mentoring and leadership. The School received an ERA rank 5 in its Applied Mathematics area in the 2019 ranking.
Your proven record in the development and implementation of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs, demonstrated evidence of high-quality teaching, including a national level recognition of research and publications relevant to Data Science disciplines will ensure your success in this role.
The salary is within the Academic Level D range $139,277 to $153,435 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
Appointments will normally be at the base of the salary range.
