Full-time, fixed-term appointment for two years.
An exciting opportunity has become available to become a part of a community of committed and passionate staff.
The Ballarat Tech School (BTS), hosted by Federation University Australia, is a collaborative learning facility providing Ballarat secondary students with access to high tech specialised equipment in a purpose built facility which commenced operation in 2018. BTS is a stimulating and creative learning environment in which students are immersed in learning experiences to develop their capabilities and understanding of a rapidly changing world and use of technology.
You will be responsible for providing lab and technical support and services to staff and students at the BTS, including coordinating science and food lab resources, technology access, set-up, usage and supporting the design of quality program delivery processes. You will also support the BTS team in program delivery through the use of technology such as robotics, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality systems, 3D printers and data loggers.
As the successful applicant, you will have demonstrated experience in coordinating the preparation and set up of technical, scientific or clinical laboratories as well as knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Health and Safety protocols. You will have experience in a science or food lab and an ability to resolve technical IT problems and using your technical skills to support the BTS team to design and deliver programs.

Salary $66,211 to $74,559 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
Appointments will normally be at the base of the salary range.
