Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 12 months.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TAFE Teacher, Automotive within FedUni TAFE where you will make a real contribution surrounded by passionate and energetic people.
You will be responsible for the delivery of quality Vocational Education and Training including conducting assessments in the automotive programs and the development of innovative learning activities and assessment strategies enhancing quality teaching. You will also contribute to business processes, leadership, management and mentoring.
As the successful candidate, you will possess current vocational skills and knowledge that will enable you to prepare and deliver vocational training and education programs in a variety of contexts including workplace delivery. You will also have the demonstrated ability to research, select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students and be able to apply information and communication technologies to the teaching and learning process.
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) will be required as well as a relevant automotive qualification in line with the Australian Skills Quality Authority outlined below:
• You must hold a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor), or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.
• From 1 April 2019 you must hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the TAELLN411 (or its successor)/TAELLN401A, and TAEASS502 (or its successor)/TAEASS502A/TAEASS502B or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.
The salary is within the TAFE Teacher L1.1 to L3.4 range $65,645 to $93,073 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience plus 9.5% superannuation.
